2016 Westminister Trip

In the Fall of 2016, while still working, I got my dream business trip. During my working years I specialized in an IBM product called CICS. IBM maintains CICS at a place called "IBM Hursley". IBM Hursley is an estate located only 30mins by train from donwtown London. The crown jewel of the Hursley estate is the Hursley mansion built in the early 1700's, during the reign of Georege I. IBM acquired the estate in 1958 and it has been the main development site for CICS ever since. In 2016 I got the opportunity to attend a week conference at Hursley.

London London An opportunity like this is rare so we decided to make the most of it. We left early so we could spend a few days in London before taking the train to the IBM conference. Click this link to see a few of our London monents.

Westminister Westminister Westminister Our excitment to see Hursly was quickly overwelmed by the little village of Westminster. Westminister is home to an Abbey that dates back to 1066. But that is just the start of the charm of Westminister as you can see by these images from our 2016 visit.
